Davis Guest Bedroom Inspiration on the Mint Modern Home Blog

How I do love this blush pink! After moving away from their families and having their first child, the Davis’s reached out to me to create an E-Design for their guest room that would keep their visiting family comfortable. She really wanted to use blush pink in the design, but he wanted something clean and modern. The design would need to be feminine, but also sophisticated enough to create a sanctuary for family and friends. They seemed to like the above photo the most from their inspiration board, so most of the design features this more grassy color green and a pop of pretty blush pink. The walls will be painted white, so this photo provided them with an idea of what the room would actually feel like when it’s complete.

I can’t wait to show you some of my favorite selections for the room, but first some more of what inspired the design.

I’ve been loving this blush and emerald color combination lately and was so excited to see it go into this space. We started with a pop of that gorgeous blush pink with a great upholstered bed and layered it with some all white bedding to keep things modern. Too much white would make the room feel cold, so we added warmth with some beautiful wood tones in the accent tables and statement mirror. Finally, some brass objects helped to elevate the space to the sophisticated guest room we were looking for. Most of the photo inspiration showed a lot of potted plants or greenery, but this is the guest room, so…who wants to remember to water a million plants in an area of the house that isn’t used frequently?!? We opted for these amazing banana leaf pillows on the bed instead and they provided the same look without the upkeep.

Check out a few of my favorite pieces from the design…
